Kimberley Holland, J.D.
What do you do?
My practice is focused in the area of civil litigation, including property damage, debt collection, employment litigation, landlord and tenant disputes, and contract breaches. I enjoy assisting clients with their contract reviews, contract negotiations, and negotiations with insurance companies.
I also practice in the area of family law, including divorce, parenting, property division, spousal and child support, and cohabitation, separation, and prenuptial agreements.
What are your strengths?
I am a very approachable and down to earth individual. I find that most clients are intimidated by the complexity of the legal process and the cumbersome language associated with it. I strive to assist clients in understanding the law in a way that is clear and accessible so that they can achieve their desired resolution. I am also a strong and effective communicator and enjoy courtroom advocacy.
Prior to joining Hart Legal, I articled in a firm in Calgary, Alberta where I gained experience in Civil Litigation, Employment Law, Wills and Estates, Family Law, Personal Injury, Foreclosure, Judgment Enforcement, and Real Estate Law. One of my career highlights was receiving a reported decision in an Employment Standards Appeal Hearing.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about achieving effective and efficient solutions for my clients. I enjoy working with clients to brainstorm solutions to their legal issues and I am not afraid to think outside the box when it comes to creating solutions. I am excited to offer flat rate lease/contract review services and summary advice sessions for small claims matters.
Activities outside of work
In my spare time, I enjoy culinary exploration and cooking, cycling, and travelling.
